Rav Matt Rosenberg To Temple Beth Sholom of the Menifee
Valley! Rav Rosenberg, who is continuing his studies at the Ziegler School in Los
Angeles, has been involved in a wide range of fields including blogging, geography, education and emerg ency
management for the American Red Cross, and brings all of those skills and more into his work with Judaism
and local concerns. He will join Cantor Jeff Schwimmer in providing spiritual leadership to the Temple Beth Sholom community, which has been part of Menifee and its environs for over 40 years. December
11th is also the first night of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. This holiday, first announced
in the two Books of the Maccabees written almost 2200 years ago, commemorates the first fight for relig ious freedom, the right to worship as we believe, and the re - dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem.
All Jews, members of mixed families, and friends are welcome to join in the celebration. Friday night Shabbat
and Hanukkah services begin at 7:30 p.m., and will be followed by a festive Oneg
